I don't yet have good photos for this pattern. I'd welcome pix of scarves that you make using it to post on this page.

FULL NEEDLE RIB SCARVES You will want to read the article about full needle rib fabric to prepare for following this pattern. If the stitch gauge on one face of the fabric is 4[5, 6, 7, 8, 9] per inch, cast on: 24[30, 36, 42, 48, 56] needles on each bed for a 6” wide scarf 28[35, 42, 63] 49, 56, needles on each bed for a 7” wide scarf 32[40, 48, 56, 64, 72] needle on each bed for an 8” wide scarf. You may cast on with the tubular method, which is quick and easy, or with a method that will better match the bind off. See the last paragraph on scarf knitting for suggestions. Knit to the desired length. Forty-eight and sixty inches are both classic scarf lengths. Another way to figure the length of a scarf that is meant to wrap the neck more than once is to make it roughly the same length as the height of the wearer. When the desired length is reached, bind off. Two bind off styles are equally suitable. You may bind off in ribbing, moving from bed to bed, binding of each stitch in order or first transfer all stitches to the main bed and bind off using a chain stitched method. The latch tool bind off around the gatepegs creates a chain stitched edge as does the transfer bind off. But neither one matches the tubular cast on very closely. In order to get a better match at the two ends of the fabric, knit the zigzag row for the tubular cast on at what would normally be the stockinette stitch size. Hang the comb and weights very carefully in that and finish the tubular cast on normally. Bind off when the scarf is complete using a chain stitch producing method. Now remove the comb and address the initial zigzag row. The zigzag row has strands of yarn slanting one way and the other. We’ll call them the zigs and the zags. Starting at the corner of the knitting away from the initial yarn tail, grab the first strand, a zig, with the latch tool. Push the tool forward, skip the zag, grab the next zig and pull through. Work across the end of the knitting in this manner and pull the yarn tail through the final stitch. Weave the yarn tail in. Now the chain stitched bind off is a much closer match to the stitches that were just chained
